So TOK is slightly better now

I got back from TOK and was almost satisfied with it. This time, we (meaning the teacher) actually expressed some views which I had held, or rather, some random thoughts which had been kicking around in my head, for some time now. That was cool, but slightly disturbing to hear from someone else, because now I have to accept that I am not, in fact, technically insane. Damn. In Other news, one of the original students came back to Pearson today, at the end of a three hour Village Meeting, and told us two really cool things. One, that the alummni from the first five yearsz had gotten together, and raised a half million dollars for the school, which aliviates a significant amount of budget concerns, like closing the pool, and Two (the much more important one), he also told us that when they walked through the rooms and discovered that we still have the same furniture they had, and even more frightening, the same pillows and bedding (One lady from 1978 found a note that she had written to herself on her pillow), and so they decided to renovate our rooms, new carpets, new desks, and immediately, new pillows. And so, I am currently resting my head on a beautiful, brand new, environmentally friendly, head cushion, made with organic free trade cotton, and stuffed with %100 recycled polyester. Dear god, it's a beautiful thing. Anyways, bed. I went running today with the school headmaster, and he ran me into the ground. We only did 12, but I was dying by the end. 12k that is. Like 7 miles for you dinosaurs. I have discovered that it's a lot more fun, and a lot more satisfying running in metrics. You get to pass the little markers a lot more often. However, it is rather disconcerting to be riding on these little back roads, and look over at the speedometer and see that you're doing about 80. Or it would be if you hadn't lived with my mother. In summary, I am really tired, and am going to bed. Good night.

If you are running 12k, you have officially passed me. Good Job! The most I have run is a 10k. I guess I could either gracefully bow to your superior running stamina - or increase my own.
I am glad you have a new naturally hygenic pillow upon which to lay your downy head - but remember things will grow on it if you don't wash your pillow case at least once every 6 months.

Hey Nathan, I really like hearing about what you are doing. I'd also very much like to hear what some of the ideas are that you all are throwing around in TOK class. Please know that I have mended my ways and always obey the speed limits so I can be a good example to my driving-age children. I may make the rare exception when I'm running late. But I'm always very, very careful. ...we do them safely. Love you!
