Sorry about that...
So I don't know why this didn't publish the first time, that's kind of rough to get everyone all excited and then not to do anything for two days, but I gave my computer up to the 'head computer dude' , so that he could keep it over night and tell me what I told him, my antivirus software was better than what he puts on everyone elses. Anyways, we had a world music cafe on sunday night, and so everyone crammed into the student commons, and then we had like open mike, and so some people had practied, and they were really, really good, and then some people had no time at all to prepare (me) and they were ridiculously incredible. I played the Mario theme and got a standing ovation, while my roomate Waleed sang "Serenity" by Godsmack, accompanied by two acoustic drones and an Indian Drum. That was cool, but afterwards we had an incredible jam session. Three hours with the indian drummer, a classical guitar player, Scott, from Sascatchewan, and Molly, a third year from BC, who spen t her middle year in Bolivia, teaching english. Damn, she was incredible. She beat on the drum, for a little bit, and then said, hang on, I'm going to go get my violin, and then she came back and we just played for hours. It's was really, really, really good. Shes easily the best violinist I have ever played with. Or rather, (mom) she is the best improvisationist I have ever played with. Damn, that was fun. Anyways, we went into Victoria today, ran around with Noah, from Vermont, Yasmin, from Ontario, Rhenia, from BC, Tanaka, from Zimbabwe, and me. We hit the bank, Mom, I need to call you about my checking information, and then we wandered around china town for a while, then we went to the greatest thrift store I have ever been in. I'ts like a second hand Wal-Mart, except without all the child labour and oppressive american consumerism, just cheap crap. And some of it's not even crap! It was a beautiful thing. I bought some pants, and a jacket, and a raincoat, and then it turned out everying was half off, so I only paid like $30 canadian for all of it. Then I bought some stuff called "Bubble Tea" It was really good, like chai with bubbles of tapioca the size of marbles on the bottom. It's really wierd, but really good. ooo, I got into HigherMath, so I count as a smart person here. That's cool. Allright, I'm out of energy, and I really want to go lie down before Stuart's 'talk' tonight. I'm gone,
Nathan
